California Senate President Perata, about Schwarznegger's plan to slash government wages below the State minimum:

... if he wants a fight, he's going to have a fight This is an act of war. It's a declaration. He is doing war on the people of this state who make California run.

Or in the vernacular?

That's a mighty big mouth you got? You got what it takes to back it up?

If Perata walks the walk as well as talking the talk, the Governator is going to need bigger guns.
